Monday Sector Leaders: Energy, Materials

In afternoon trading on Monday, Energy stocks are the best performing sector, higher by 0.8%. Within that group, Transocean  (NYSE: RIG) and Noble Corp (NYSE: NE) are two large stocks leading the way, showing a gain of 7.0% and 5.7%, respectively. Among energy ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (AMEX: XLE), which is up 0.6% on the day, and up 1.43% year-to-date.
